Alex Wright
Born and raised in Rockville, Maryland, music has been a part of Alex’s life since starting piano lessons at a young age. While attending a performing arts high school, Alex had the opportunity to hone his craft while playing with award-winning jazz ensembles and a 200-member marching band. In 2007, Alex began studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, specializing in piano and Hammond organ. He also began to learn the role of a utility musician as well as composing songs for multiple genres. After graduating, Alex relocated to Nashville, Tennessee where he has toured as a musician for numerous international country music artists, recorded as a session keyboardist, and continued to compose. Alex's instrumental compositions are usually piano or keyboard based and are rooted in popular musical styles while maintaining a cinematic element. He is excited to be a featured artist on Shockwave Sound and hopes to be the soundtrack to your next project!
