This is the very piece that young Mozart heard sung in the Cistene Chapel on his first visit to Italy and, because church music was never made available to the outside world by the Roman Catholic Church, Mozart memorized the entire composition. He only heard it once, and amazed everyone by writing it down, note for note, from his memory after the service. It is the Miserere Mei, Deus (Wretched me, Lord). [ Composers: Allegri, Classical. Arranger: Dr.Keith J.Salmon ] [Tag this trackUntag this track]
