Stock Music track: Crystal Water (A Ericson)

A sparse and transparent piano piece recorded with an old, upright piano and simple synth pads. Emotional, simple, poignant. From about 01:30 a simple synth pulse joins in. Good for drama, film score, stories, perhaps with a retro feel - a meeting of the old and the new. The old piano gives the piece a tender, human, nostalgic sound.

About the Artist
J. A. Ericson J. A. Ericson

Alexander John Ericson, a.k.a. "J. A. Ericson", is a Swedish musician living and working in Berlin.

His latest album "Songs From The White Sea" marked the culmination of a number of personal journeys, from his native Sweden, via London, to Berlin where he now lives and from a background in electronica (The Northern Territories), via rock with his brother’s band Alberta Cross, to a very personal blend of songwriting that draws on all these experiences.

Taking a distinctly European approach to his craft, which both recalls and updates influences such as P.J. Harvey, Jacques Brel, David Bowie and Brian Eno’s collaborations.

The BBC Music on "Songs From The White Sea":

"Quiet may have ceased being the new loud, but this demonstrates that Ericson is a welcome addition to the school of soft, reflective troubadours. It is an album that consistently doesn’t do what you think it’s going to, and frequently delights. BBC Music / Music Week Panel

Alexander John Ericson's music has also been featured in various film and tv shows, and he has composed music for more than ten short films.

He's now busy recording a debut album with his latest project My Empire Of Sound, as well as composing and producing music exclusively for the Shockwave-Sound.com stock music library.
