Stock Music track: Butterflies (B Gerhart)

This catchy song about that tingly feeling inside, is a light and fun song for anyone who has felt that way about someone. The jump-along chorus features a contagious melody and falsetto hooks. The Tom beat in the verses and bridge gets your head bopping and feet tapping. Available as a vocal version and an instrumental version.

Lyrics: The first time we met it was a Saturday
The rest is blurry but I knew you took my breath away
I couldn’t have you but I really wanted to try
Oh, that never happens to this guy
It’s usually hard to catch my attention

You got me tongue-tied by the look in your eyes
It’s been a while, no, I’ve never felt this way
You give me butterflies, I finally feel them inside
I hope they don’t fly away

I know it sounds cliche, a little juvenile
I can’t help it everything you do just makes me smile
It’s kinda funny how I’m the one who didn’t believe
But this time it happened to this guy
A touch from your lips and now I’m head over heels
I’m hoping, praying that you feel the same

You got me tongue-tied by the look in your eyes
It’s been a while, no, I’ve never felt this way
You give me butterflies, I finally feel them inside
I hope they don’t fly away

Well I know we should’ve taken it slow
Maybe plant a little seed, sit and wait for it to grow
Take it day by day, simply go with the flow
Not get to carried away
Well I know we should’ve taken it slow
Maybe plant a little seed, sit and wait for it to grow
Take it day by day, simply go with the flow
But now it’s too late

9. Don’t Say A Word
I already know your favorite color
and all the things you hate, like leaving me
And I already know what you’re gonna say
by that predictable look on your face

But don’t say a word, just bring your body close to me baby
Look in my eyes, pretend it’s alright
and forget about the love that’s becoming harder to find

I already know how far you’ll bend
before you start to break, so gracefully
I don’t want you go but I can’t seem to find the words to fix this

So don’t say a word, just bring your body close to me baby
Look in my eyes, pretend it’s alright
and forget about the love that’s becoming harder to find

About the Artist
Brooke Gerhart Brooke Gerhart

My name is Brooke Gerhart and I’m a Alternative/Country artist based out of Nashville, TN. I grew up in northeast Pennsylvania and started playing several instruments at a young age. At 16, I bought my first drum kit, taught myself to play them, and started my first band.

After a few years and a few bands, I felt a stronger calling to branch on my own project as a singer and pour my heart into a solo career with a bigger purpose. In December of 2010, I released my first full-length album as a solo artist.

In February of 2013, I released “Ode to India” which was an acoustic album inspired by a mission trip to Bangalore, India.

My musical goals have learned to lose their time frames and expectations...I realize I’m not the one in control of all this, but I know now that I’m doing exactly what I was made for. I now strive to leave a legacy of love through whatever music or art I release.

Thanks for being a part of it.
