This country ballad features a prominent acoustic guitar and grooving snare work. The lyrics tell a story of a man who chases the American dream… prioritizing material things over family and relationship. He eventually loses it all and finds himself alone. Available as a vocal version and an instrumental version.

Lyrics: | Well someday I’ll give you more than just the love that’s in my heart I’ll meet every need, live happily, let nothing can tear us apart If I can prove my love with a dollar sign and the number of digits that follow then let nothing stop me from the top I’ll buy peace of mind tomorrow I'll put money in the bank babe someday we'll have it all A big house in the suburbs baby, we'll live on our own If it were up to me I'd give you everything designer life and a big ol’ diamond ring I'll put money in the bank babe someday, we'll have it all Well ten years have gone and three kids have come I still love you all the same I may be working hard and traveling far but for you I’d do anything So please don’t cry tonight we’ll be alright the good life is on the way, we’re getting closer every day I'm putting money in the bank now baby, we can have it all I miss you and the kids too baby but some day I'll be home If it were up to me I'd be there for everything take the next flight home but I've gotta be putting money in the bank now baby, so we can have it all I've got money in the bank but now it’s so quiet at home an empty house in the suburbs, somehow I traded it all If it were up to me I'd take back everything rewind this life cut straight from a magazine yeah we may have had nothing baby, but we had it all |

My name is Brooke Gerhart and I’m a Alternative/Country artist based out of Nashville, TN. I grew up in northeast Pennsylvania and started playing several instruments at a young age. At 16, I bought my first drum kit, taught myself to play them, and started my first band.
After a few years and a few bands, I felt a stronger calling to branch on my own project as a singer and pour my heart into a solo career with a bigger purpose. In December of 2010, I released my first full-length album as a solo artist.
In February of 2013, I released “Ode to India” which was an acoustic album inspired by a mission trip to Bangalore, India.
My musical goals have learned to lose their time frames and expectations...I realize I’m not the one in control of all this, but I know now that I’m doing exactly what I was made for. I now strive to leave a legacy of love through whatever music or art I release.
Thanks for being a part of it.
