Lyrics: I see the stars, they're shining bright,
without the twinkle of your eyes,
it's just another summer's night.
We're both alone, so come back home.
If there's a problem that we share,
it's that I'm here and you are there.

I know this was a life long lesson,
live and learn at your discretion,
Sometimes it takes a broken heart
to know we really care.

She said, "I'll bet, you that,
we'll never get this far again.
Give me the pieces of my broken heart attack"
I'll bet, you that,
I'll never mess this up again.
Come home to me because I've saved the best for last.

Now you're here, I try to speak.
Before I open up my mouth,
you say there's something that you need
to get off your mind. I'm “wasting time”,
and when my “ten minutes of fame”,
have come and gone will be the day
we’ll speak.

Last night when I read,
the first and second letters you wrote
us down in pen,
said we'll always be together and,
I know things have changed,
but I can make it better tonight,
I swear I’m going to make it better tonight.

I’ll bet you that we, will never ever make it this far
again so we, we better really give it our all.
