Lyrics: | So easily this time and distance abolish everything we've come to know If I'm American made then American warrior I will be I collide with my pride, the pride in my eyes I've given up on water, earth and sky It's the things I cannot see that make me ask why It's the world that puts the coins on your eyes Lie down, the rest is history Breathe in chemicals, breathe in disease Breathe in chemicals, breathe in disease Taste the color black and feel your heart squeeze These measures call for hard times, I stand my ground The apocalypse is on me and I see hope The rest is history |

Hailing from the frozen north known as Minnesota, Lessons are a heavy hitting, melodically driven metal-core band whose passion, as well as ferocity comes forth every time they take the stage. Formed in early 2012, the band released their first EP "Five Points" of that same year. With one EP under their belt, they used the next year to establish themselves as a live act. Throughout 2013 Lessons built their roster of shows, including playing festivals like Sonshine and Audiofeed. After a productive summer they took the fall of 2013 to write and record their second EP "American Ghosts." With the new release closely approaching, Lessons hope to secure their place among their heavy music peers.
"One of the most compelling metal-core cuts I've heard this year" -HM Magazine
