Lyrics: Wakin’ up
7:30
Drive to work
Head is hurtin’
Last night
I had too much to drink

Traffic jam
I’m late again
Coffee
Runnin’ down my chin
On the radio
It’s all bad news

Talk show host he says
The banks have failed
There’s nukes for sale

Livin’ in this world
It’s a crazy ride
But I’m still alive

When I catch myself complaining
Everyone is saying
“There is nothing we can do”

I start my day by thinking ‘bout
Good things in my life
How blessed I am that I have you

When things don’t always turn out
The way they should
I just think about
Your love baby
Life is so good

Up ahead
There’s an old Ford Pinto
“Just Married”
Painted on their window
I think of me and you
And I just smile

Life ain’t always made of sunny days,
With these bills to pay
It’s never quite as bad as it seems to be
When you’re here with me

When I catch myself complaining
Everyone is saying
“There is nothing we can do”

I start my day by thinking ‘bout
Good things in my life
How blessed I am that I have you

When things don’t always turn out
The way they should
I just think about
Your love baby
Life is so good

Oh this world is a crazy ride
But I’m blessed with you by my side

Said Dave: "I enjoy making a living making music as there is something always new to learn. If you know one instrument, you can learn another. If you know how to engineer one style, you can always learn another. My main question I ask myself when writing and making music is "what gives you goosebumps". The mechanics of songwriting and engineering can get quite technical, however at the end of the day its what makes you feel something."
