Lyrics: I used to care what people thought
I’d worry what they’d say
Spent all my time trying to be so cool
Forgetting about today
All caught up, trying to fit in
I needed to break through
Now the future is bright, it’s not who I was,
It’s who I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the girl who treats people right
Gonna be happy gonna live my life
Gonna travel the world, see all there is to see
Gonna fall in love, gonna sing my song
Gonna write my words, so you can sing along
Gonna follow the road to my destiny
I’m gonna change the world, you’ll see
Yeah, that’s who I’m gonna be
I used to feel so incomplete, thinking about the past
I tried to move on, since you’ve been gone
I wanted it to last
Made my mistakes, it’s not too late
The future holds the key
Tomorrow’s here, it’s not who I was
It’s who I’m gonna be
CHORUS
I’m gonna change the world, you’ll see
I’m gonna give the best of me
Live my destiny
Yeah, that’s who I’m gonna be

Dave Tough shares his namesake with the famous jazz drummer (Tough's great uncle) who played with the likes of Woody Herman, Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey.

Said Dave: "I enjoy making a living making music as there is something always new to learn. If you know one instrument, you can learn another. If you know how to engineer one style, you can always learn another. My main question I ask myself when writing and making music is "what gives you goosebumps". The mechanics of songwriting and engineering can get quite technical, however at the end of the day its what makes you feel something."
