Lyrics: Why would you want to run away from this love
The buzzards flying round my head
To pick at parts already dead
And waiting for the rest to fade away

How could you let me down the way you did dear
There’s madness in your mind my friend
To do what you have done again
I won’t be there to listen anymore

If you let something go and it comes back, then it’s forever
But that’s never been true for me and you, no it’s never
So regretfully, farewell to you

What were you thinking of when you said you were in love
Deception had some company
Seems it wasn’t only me
Who fell for words that now ring so untrue

If you let something go and it comes back, then it’s forever
But that’s never been true for me and you, no it’s never
So regretfully, farewell to you

When you think of me
Does it ever hurt
Do you ever think it might’ve worked
If I had come to bed on time

Now you’re free, to do as you please, to be with anyone
Can you still remember me
Fading from your history
A hazy memory in buried dreams

About the Artist
Zoo Pilot

Zoo Pilot is a newly formed indie rock band based in Austin, TX. Comprised of former members of Sleep Station (Eyeball Records), Zoo Pilot combines the classic sounds of bands like the Beatles, Kinks and Zombies with modern indie-rock sensibilities to create a unique, timeless sound.
With Brad Paxton handling vocals and guitar and Josh Nichols on bass and drums, the group looks forward to bringing their diverse sound and often left-of-center lyrical themes to the many music fans of Austin and beyond.
They have lent their compositional and production talents to a number of television shows, including CBS's Cold Case, American Idol Rewind and the Showtime series Shameless. They record and mix their songs at Brad's home studio in South Austin.
