Kawaii is a Japanese word that simply means Cute. The music style of kawaii music, or kawaii pop, has grown out of the youth cultures surrounding the anime, comics, manga and video games central to Japanese pop culture. The music is defined by bright, overly sweet, and cheerful melodies in an electronic pop or synth-pop arrangement, with high-impact beats that sometimes touch on Future Bass, Dubstep or Bass music.
