A modern and progressive take on the jazz genre. Processed drum loops mix with traditional jazz instruments and some of those very slightly skewed chord changes to keep the listener guessing. Smooth, yet rough. Traditional, yet progressive. A great jazz track.

"Toast a Ghost" is the product of a collaboration between three working musicians based in Skien and Stavern, Norway. Espen Mjøen (bass, guitars) runs mediaMAKER recording studio, working with hardrock-icons like Jorn Lande and Pagan's Mind - among others. Carl Erik Hansen (drums, keyboards) is a freelance-drummer, frequently touring and recording with various artists. Steinar Borvik (saxophones, flutes e.a.) teaches music and generally lives by the horn. The trio has been working together since 2002 and records mainly live performances, sometimes featuring additional guest musicians.
