Light synth work with a lofi feel on the drums gives this track a subtle, laid back mood, with a modern, low key indie feel. Pleasant and easy going.

My name is Michael Peterman, I am a BMI affiliated, professional freelance film composer specializing in short run (60-90 second) film cues, and it's taken a long time to get here.
After paying my dues to the local scene in Boston MA for more than six years with nothing to show for it, I needed to make a change. Late nights, long drives, lost friends, and no clear sense of direction gave way to my day job, and the bar scene, this time i saw it from a stool, not the stage.
I took more than a year off, I moved three times, I got laid off, and I just sat around watching movies. My DVD collection rose from about three, to over two hundred in only a month. I started noticing myself becoming more focused on the music and sound design of these films, rather than the actors or even the story. I started buying movies based more on who wrote the music than who was in it, or what it was about.
I started writing music again, and a lot of it. This time I wasn't trying to find something to impress a bunch of drunk kids at the bar down the street, I wanted to write something that I could really respect.
Now, drawing on my combined experience of more than eleven years writing, recording, and performing, I've become comfortable working in a highly detailed, deadline oriented environment. Producing broadcast quality music for film and TV projects.
My work can be heard in a handful of indie film, and TV productions, and my list of credits is only getting longer, thanks in part to professionals like Bjorn from Shockwave-Sound.com who have supported my work.
I'm looking forward to doing this for a long time.
